The Duke of Marlborough at Alert Level 2
We like everyone in the hospitality and tourism industry are delighted to be open again all be it under the constraints of alert Level 2. So a quick overview of what this means for The Duke and any other changes we have had to make as a result of the impact of Covid - 19
The accommodation and restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday night (closed Monday, Tuesday). The office admin and accommodation team will be around to answer your calls and emails on Monday and Tuesday, but you can’t stay the night or dine with us sorry!
Under the alert level 2 restrictions we have made some changes to our restaurant including
- Limiting groups to 10 people and 100 at most in the restaurant.
- Single Server for each table
- Contact tracing for all guests
- Spacing between each table.
- Changing our cleaning processes to ensure more stringent controls
This may make service a bit slower but please be patient with us and we would recommend booking.
Wednesday through Sunday we will continue to offer a takeaway menu. No delivery sorry.
Our restaurant will be open for in house guests only to purchase breakfast, however we have had to make some changes to comply with Alert level 2 which includes no Buffett breakfast offerings. Our team will update our guests on arrival
While staying in our Hotel and dining at our restaurant
Please respect the new normal
- don’t congregate in groups
- keep space when lining up or queuing in the restaurant and check-in
- keep your physical distance between our staff and other guests
- and if you feel sick please come another time.

What our customers say
Thank you thank you thank you is all I can say. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, we were made to feel like Queens. I'd like to make special mention of Faith and Bridget - you two are absolutely amazing ladies and Hayley and I can't thank you both enough for the effort you both put in. We will never forget it. To Vincent - you my friend are a true gentleman and I want to thank you for all that you did for us all weekend! You are very special. To the rest of the staff, again, thank you for the best weekend of our lives. Last but not least, Ida Birch. Words can't describe how special you made our weekend, how much stress you took from us and put on yourself to make our day as smooth as can be. The passion you have is absolutely beautiful and it shines through. We love you all and will be forever grateful. Hayley & Rebekah
