You’ll find parts of New Zealand’s history throughout Russell and The Duke is no exception.
Established in 1827 and proudly holding the country’s first liquor licence in 1840, it’s a beloved icon. Since 2010, Anton and Bridget Haagh, Riki Kinnaird and Jayne Shirley have been its custodians keeping the spirit alive for generations to come.
If The Duke holds a place in your heart and your next escape is never far from mind, consider this your personal dispatch.
