Booking Policy

Securing Your Booking  Via Email or Phone
To secure a booking we require valid credit card details. A deposit equivalent to the first night's stay will be charged to confirm a booking. The balance for your stay will be charged on your departure. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted, sorry no Diners.
 
Securing Your Booking  Via Internet Booking   
Accommodation at The Duke can be booked via several different websites, including direct booking via http://www.theduke.co.nz/.  Each of these websites has a different method of payment terms requested to secure bookings.  Please read carefully the amount you are paying.  Bookings direct through the Duke website will request full payment.

Cancellation
As changes to your reservation or cancellations affect us greatly, the following standard cancellation policy applies:
7-14 days : Charge 50% of total cost of booking
Less than 7 days : Charge 100% of total cost of booking
 

Check In & Out Times
Check In: 3pm (or alternate time by prior arrangement)
Check Out: 10-00am
 
Extra Person Charge
Extra person will be charged at $35.00 per night. Children 12 and under stay free of charge. 
 
Payment Terms
All transactions will be processed in New Zealand Dollars.

The Duke is an exceptional place to have a wedding. From the moment we arrived in town The Dukes staff knew who we were days ahead and made us and our families and friends feel extra special. On the day, bad weather meant a change of plans with the Duke now suddenly also hosting the ceremony on their front deck. This was all taken in its stride and went without a hiccup.
